Dana King is a research consultant specialized in historical information for homes and commercial properties in the Toronto area. Her company, Every House Tells A Story, is one of the first organizations dedicated to researching the histories of Toronto homes.

Her industry experience includes a background in Genealogy research, and she has studied Genealogy at the University Of Toronto. Dana put this experience to work while successfully researching the history of her childhood home, and quickly discovered a passion for house histories.

She began her company in 2003, and since has completed dozens of successful reports on the history of homes in the Toronto Area. She is a member of Heritage Toronto, and the Ontario Genealogical Society, and continues to develop her knowledge of Toronto neighbourhoods with every new research project.

Her major area of expertise is conducting the primary research necessary for a professional and detailed report. "Finding information at the source is important when discovering the biography of a home. Many people think the information is available on the web; however; less than 10% of my work takes place on the internet." She puts this knowledge to work through extensive use of Toronto's archives, libraries, land records and other databases.
